Carolin Wanitzek is a scenographer and installation artist from Mannheim, Germany, who focuses on design in space. In the field of scenography she combines illustration, set design and photography to develop visual concepts for extraordinary worlds. She designs three-dimensional installations, conceives exhibitions and constructs design objects that appear in interior design and in public spaces. Carolin's work is characterised by a monochrome, minimalist and graphic aesthetic and has been published in digital media, magazines and catalogues. After studying communication design and scenography, she works for national and international clients and is partner at OUI R Creative Studio and co-founder of the furniture brand IN SUBSTANCE.

Lecturing

In addition to her commercial work Carolin is also active in design education, giving frequent talks and workshops. From 2017-2018 she was teaching paper constructions and set design at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. From 2019 to 2021 she was teaching design in space and environment at the University of Applied Sciences for Media, Communication and Management, Campus Frankfurt a. M.
